Parents/carers may register their child's name during the academic year of the child's second birthday (1 September to 31 August).

A registration form should be completed and returned to the school office with a birth certificate.  Both the Registration Form and the Admissions Policy can be downloaded from "Admissions Documents".

Visits to the school

You are welcome to visit the school before filling out an application form. You may call in during opening hours, or, to be sure of individual attention, an appointment can be made through the School Administrator.

Allocation of Places

Places are allocated on a date of application basis.  Children are eligible for a place the term after their third birthday, depending on whether there are places available.  The nursery endeavours to offer places a term in advance, however this is not always possible.

Offer of a Place

In the term before starting you will receive a written offer of a place and an invitation to attend a new parents' meeting with other new families.

Starting Nursery

New parents are invited to a meeting prior to their child starting nursery.  A home visit is offered to all new parents.  New children attend for an “induction” session before the rest of the children return to nursery.  The new intake of children do not all start nursery on the same day.  Entry is staggered so that time can be spent settling each child in properly.

New Parents Meeting
At this meeting the Headteacher will provide you with information about the school and answer any questions you may have. You will also be given a date and time for an optional home visit.

Home visits
These are arranged for the first day(s) of each term. The visit gives you the chance to talk to your child’s key people about their development, their personal likes and dislikes and it gives staff the chance to meet the child in their own environment. We would recommend that you take up the option of a home visit as we feel it fosters our relationship with the child and the parents and helps us to build up a holistic picture of every child.

New Entrants Day
Children will be offered a shortened session to attend with their parents(s) at the start of the term they join the school. This enables the children to become familiar with the environment guided by their parent(s).

The First Day
New children do not all start on the same day and you will be given a date for your child at the new parent meeting.

There is no charge for the 15 hours of education your child receives at the school. There will be occasional off-site visits necessitating a voluntary contribution, however, if parents are unable to contribute no child will be excluded.
