The children have enjoyed exploring home grown marrows since they returned to Nursery. It's surprising how heavy they are and they love the challenge of holding one all by themselves, they weighed about 4.5kg! Hammering golf tees into the marrow is a fun way of practising our fine motor skills in preparation for using real nails and wood at our woodwork station. It's lovely watching the children's confidence grow as their skill progresses throughout the year.
