We have had a fantastic week in the nursery, inspired by the recent cold wintry weather.  We read the story ‘The Snowy Day’, about a little boy who wants to save a snowball for later. To extend our learning, the children explored ice cubes and observed how they changed from a solid to a liquid as they warmed up in their hands.  The children showed great scientific thinking and used vocabulary such as frozen, melt, crystals, thaw, and temperature.
