At nursery, we are working to develop a depth of understanding of mathematics. This week we have looked closely at number 1 to help us establish a secure base of knowledge about this number. We loved playing a game where we needed to place 1 counter on a part of our body which we had only one of. We thought of  a nose, a head and a chin. There was a lot of laughter as we tried to balance our counters on our noses.
