During our time together we enjoyed sharing stories about Diwali. The children then went on to create their very own divas out of clay. It was wonderful to see the effort they put into making them and all the lovely colours and patterns that were used for this festival of lights. This is our first milestone in our ‘Diversity’ goal, supporting children to understand and see themselves represented by characters in texts which will promote an understanding of the diverse society in which we live.
