This week, the children explored the concept of sorting by grouping objects based on shared features such as colour, shape, and size. This helps develop early skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and numeracy as they learn to recognise patterns and differences.  Using a range of autumn materials, the children observed and discussed their properties before sorting them into groups. They enjoyed separating items such as conkers, sycamore seeds, and pine cones, and then further organising them by size into big and small groups.
