One of our Nursery ‘curriculum goals’ this term is to follow a recipe to make a bread roll.

To support this final outcome, the children explored and investigated mixing flour and water together.

There were lots of opportunities to talk about what they could see and what was happening to the two substances.

The children were excited to tell their friends all about what they were doing, for example, “it’s sticky, I need more flour” and “I made playdough, it looks like a dumpling.”
