The children have enjoyed looking and talking about the life cycle of a caterpillar over the past two weeks! It all started when the tiny caterpillars arrived at nursery. The children watched them closely as they grew bigger, formed their chrysalis and then transformed into beautiful butterflies.  This supported our nursery children's language and helped them to consolidate their learning on life-cycles and change. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they watched the butterflies be released into the garden and saw them fly away.
