Healthy Bodies

During our Healthy Bodies Week, we have had lots of conversations with the children about healthy practises and activities designed to support their understanding of ways to stay healthy. The children identified five areas – healthy eating, drinking lots of water, exercising, relaxing and sleeping well. One of the activities the children participated in was to help pack a healthy lunchbox for one of our dolls. First, they sorted a wide variety of food items into “healthy” and “occasional” foods, and then together packed a healthy lunchbox selection, paying attention to including an appropriate amount of food plus a good balance of nutritional foods.
